Basketball Recap: Starmount Comes Up Short

Starmount was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 81-63 bruising from the East Wilkes Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 81-49 loss last Friday.

Starmount's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for East Wilkes, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Starmount does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Wilkes, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mount Airy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in East Wilkes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
