Volleyball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield lost against Glenwood back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Senators took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-19.

Rachel Becker paced Springfield's offense, picking up five kills. Becker got some help from Franny VonDeBur and her six assists.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Glenwood, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 28-6.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Springfield and Decatur Eisenhower will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenwood, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Pleasant Plains on the 22nd.
