Baseball Game Preview: Summit Christian Academy Eagles vs. Chouteau-Mazie Wildcats

For the second straight game, Summit Christian Academy will face off against Chouteau-Mazie. Summit Christian Academy will welcome Chouteau-Mazie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Summit Christian Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Chouteau-Mazie just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5.

Cam Archer was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Caden Antle was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

The win snapped Chouteau-Mazie's losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-8 record. As for Summit Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
