Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Baptist Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lighthouse Baptist Academy can now relate to. The contest between the Lighthouse Baptist Academy Ambassadors and the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors didn't end well, with the Lighthouse Baptist Academy Ambassadors falling 50-36. While losing is never fun, the Ambassadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 698th in Alabama, while the Conquerors are ranked 307th in Florida).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Florida Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shepard Brown, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 19 points. Brown has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Kaleb Wiggins was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Lighthouse Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-4.
