Baseball Recap: Sand Rock Comes Up Short

Sand Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gaston Bulldogs. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 8, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Kane Robison was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Morgan Tucker was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Sand Rock's record now sits at 3-13. As for Gaston, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.

While Sand Rock had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
