Softball Recap: Fairdale Bulldogs vs. John Hardin Bulldogs
After flying high against Valley on Thursday, Fairdale came back down to earth. Fairdale fell just short of John Hardin by a score of 12-10 on Thursday. Fairdale was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced John Hardin earlier this season, when they won 4-0.
Emma Krebs put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off only one hit. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in April. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Brooke Higdon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was R Eades, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Fairdale's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for John Hardin, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-15.
Fairdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Hardin, they will head out to square off against Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
