Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Providence Classical Christian can now relate to. They took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Prep Lions on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

It was another big night for Beau Blocker, who posted 22 points and seven assists for Trinity Prep. The game was Blocker's eighth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Spence, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.

Providence Classical Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Trinity Prep, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.

Providence Classical Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-56 loss against Trinity Christian on the 11th. As for Trinity Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-64 victory against Alleluia Community on the 8th.
