Anderson County lost to Iola back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Anderson County Bulldogs escaped with a win against the Iola Mustangs by the margin of a single free throw, 36-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Anderson County's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Iola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Anderson County will head out to take on Wellsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellsville will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Anderson County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Iola, they will face off against Osawatomie on Tuesday. Iola is facing Osawatomie at the right time seeing as Osawatomie is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
