Volleyball Game Preview: Moon Valley Rockets vs. Tempe Buffaloes + How To Watch

The Moon Valley Rockets will take on the Tempe Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Moon Valley will be strutting in after a win while Tempe will be coming in after a loss.

Moon Valley had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Coronado on Monday. The Rockets put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Moon Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Tempe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Marcos de Niza, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14, 25-14.

Moon Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Tempe, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Moon Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Tempe in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
