Soccer Game Preview: Alamo Heights vs. Wagner

The Alamo Heights Mules are taking a road trip to square off against the Wagner Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, Alamo Heights didn't have quite enough to beat New Braunfels and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Mules have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Wagner has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 9. They came up short against Boerne-Champion on Friday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 580th, while the Chargers are ranked 221st).

This is the second loss in a row for Alamo Heights and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Wagner, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12-2.
