Softball Recap: Caldwell County Comes Up Short

Caldwell County has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.7 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 15-5 to the Christian County Colonels. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Carlee Palm made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Adley Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Caldwell County has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. As for Christian County, the victory got them back to even at 17-17.

Looking ahead, Caldwell County will face off against Webster County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian County, they will host Calloway County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
