Baseball Recap: Wellston Comes Up Short

Wellston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Perkins-Tryon Demons, falling 14-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2015.

Wellston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Perkins-Tryon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Perkins-Tryon beat Wellston by a score of 14-7 later that day.
