Basketball Recap: Bryan Takes a Loss

Bryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 99-27 defeat at the hands of the Millard North Mustangs. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-19.

Bryan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Keyon Williams, who posted eight points, and Deon Darnell, who had eight points. Kaleb Kimble also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Derek Rollins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Millard North, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Major Mosser, who went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points.

Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Millard North, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bryan will face off against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season. As for Millard North, they will challenge Burke at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Millard North's favor as the squad sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Burke has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
