Football Recap: Artesia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Artesia lost against Bellflower back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pioneers took a 19-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers.

A big part of Bellflower's win came down to the chemistry between Kendyll Upshaw and her top target Jade Walker. Upshaw threw for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Walker rushed for 106 yards and one TD. What's more, Walker racked up 23 receiving yards, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Artesia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bellflower, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Artesia will take on rival Rialto at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bellflower is set to challenge their familiar foe Whittier at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
