Football Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Carroll had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-5 to make it nine. They were dealt a 52-14 defeat at the hands of the Eufaula Tigers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 41-7 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Although Carroll took the loss, they still got scores from Jaylen Stuckey and Devon Pruitt.

As for Eufaula, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Jaylin Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 301 yards and two TDs on only 16 passes. A'Torian Slaughter was another key player, gaining 141 total yards and two touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Carroll will challenge Pike County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eufaula, they will square off against Wetumpka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
