Basketball Recap: Emmitt Mancuso's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rochester over Aberdeen

Rochester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aberdeen Bobcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-34 back in December of 2024.

Rochester lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emmitt Mancuso, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Mancuso a new career-high. Brayden Oconnor was another key player, putting up ten points.

Aberdeen can attribute much of their success to Jhacob Quezada, who earned 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Matthews, who scored six points and three steals.

Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Aberdeen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Rochester has already played their next game, a 58-52 defeat against Montesano on the 28th. As for Aberdeen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-43 loss against Shelton on the 27th.
