Basketball Recap: Knightstown Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waldron, Knightstown was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Union County Patriots by a score of 60-47. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 47-44 loss the last time these two teams met.

Billy Stein was a one-man wrecking crew as he almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Brantt Ellis, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Union County lost, don't look at Colton Johnson. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-21 to rack up 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Nick Watterson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Knightstown's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Union County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
