University Prep was sadly handed a loss on Saturday, but Ricky Gonzalez did his best to prevent it. Gonzalez tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. The performance marked the fewest earned runs he has had since back in March.

Gonzalez and University Prep will head out on the road to square off against Big Bear at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars had to take a loss when they last met the Bears, but Gonzalez had little to do with the loss: he fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-5.
