Union County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons on Friday, falling 49-13. The Braves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Maroons from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Union County will head out to face off against Crittenden County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will square off against Hopkinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
