Basketball Game Preview: St. James Sharks vs. Georgetown Bulldogs

The St. James Sharks are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against the Georgetown Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

St. James saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They blew past Timberland 69-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

Meanwhile, Georgetown blew past Socastee, posting a 91-46 win.

Georgetown's win came from a few key players St. James will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ean Mitchell, who posted 33 points and five assists. Those 33 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Nesbit, who had 23 points.

St. James' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Georgetown, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

St. James didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Georgetown when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sharks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
