Winthrop's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Saturday. Everything went their way against Arlington Catholic as they made off with a 5-0 win. The match marked Winthrop's most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marblehead, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Andover on Saturday, sneaking past 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Marblehead were the better team in the second half.

Marblehead's win bumped their record up to 13-5-1. As for Winthrop, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4-3.
