Football Recap: Fulton Comes Up Short

Fulton extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They took a blow against the Lena-Winslow Panthers, falling 47-6. While losing is never fun, the Steamers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Panthers are ranked 45th).

As for Lena-Winslow, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 38 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Damian Rivera, who rushed for 134 yards and two scores, and also picked up 52 receiving yards and one TD. Carson Hill was another key back, rushing for 52 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fulton is set to challenge their familiar foe Dakota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lena-Winslow will square off against rival Morrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
