Volleyball Recap: Diller-Odell Griffin vs. Johnson-Brock Eagles
Diller-Odell lost against Johnson-Brock two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Griffin took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.
Aidan McKinney paced Diller-Odell's offense, picking up six kills. McKinney got some help from Berkelee Beekman and her seven assists. Beekman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Johnson-Brock found their leader in sophomore Isabell Bishop, who had 11 digs and two aces. Bishop has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.
Diller-Odell has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Johnson-Brock, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.
Coming up, Diller-Odell will square off against Southern at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnson-Brock, after both having extra time off, they and Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another on Tuesday.
