Baseball Game Preview: Coral Gables Cavaliers vs. Gulliver Prep Raiders

The Coral Gables Cavaliers will head out to take on the Gulliver Prep Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Coral Gables and nine for Gulliver Prep dating back to last season.

Coral Gables managed to slip by Immaculata-La Salle the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Coral Gables came up short against Immaculata-La Salle on Thursday, falling 9-3.

Timothy Negron was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Brian Santana also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Gulliver Prep suffered their biggest defeat since March 28, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to Columbus. The match marked the first time this season in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Gulliver Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Coral Gables, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 2-6-1.
