Guardian Christian Academy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Williamsburg Christian Academy Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Royal Knights have posted since August 29th.

Guardian Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 15-9.

Guardian Christian Academy's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Williamsburg Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Guardian Christian Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Michael the Archangel at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Williamsburg Christian Academy will square off against rival Richmond Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
