Soccer Game Preview: Pueblo Central vs. Lamar

The Pueblo Central Wildcats will take on the Lamar Thunder at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pueblo Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pueblo Central is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Pueblo West on Wednesday. The Wildcats and the Cyclones finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

Pueblo Central's goal came courtesy of Liam Martinez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Lamar lost 7-1 to Liberal on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for Lamar in their meetings with Liberal: they've now lost seven in a row.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. Pueblo Central's draw makes their record 6-3-1 this season.
