Softball Recap: Lamar Finds Home Field Redemption Against Adrian

There's no place like home for Lamar, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Adrian Blackhawks by a score of 5-2 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Blackhawks on Tuesday, they had to take a 9-4 loss.

The team relied heavily on Jaxsyn Lovan, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maylee Rawlings, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Adrian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Adrian will both be playing Mt. Vernon the next time they take the field. The Blackhawks will host the Mountaineers at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
