Softball Recap: Cibola Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Cibola and Las Cruces squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cibola had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldawgs, falling 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since March 22, 2024.

Presley Peek-Ruscetti made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Cibola's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-7. As for Las Cruces, they pushed their record up to 20-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Cibola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Las Cruces, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 18-2 loss against La Cueva on the 16th.
