Basketball Preview: Palmyra Panthers vs. Cinnaminson Pirates
Palmyra is 1-7 against the Pirates since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Palmyra Panthers will be playing at home against the Cinnaminson Pirates at 5:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Palmyra unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pennsauken.
Meanwhile, Cinnaminson unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 70-60 to Holy Cross. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cinnaminson came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Lancers are ranked 210th).
Palmyra's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Cinnaminson, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-3.
Palmyra was dealt a bruising 72-41 defeat at the hands of the Pirates when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Palmyra was down 44-17.
