Preview: Grant County Braves vs. Shelby County Rockets
The Grant County Braves's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Shelby County Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Grant County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Shelby County in Kentucky (Grant County is ranked 38th, while Shelby County is ranked 244th).
Last Tuesday, Grant County didn't have too much trouble with Lexington Catholic at home as they won 45-26.
Meanwhile, sadly, Shelby County is still looking for their first win of the season after 21 matches. They received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 53-36 to Bluegrass United.
Grant County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Shelby County, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-21.
Grant County took their victory against Shelby County when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 63-39. Does Grant County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Shelby County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
