Baseball Recap: St. Anthony's Triumphs

St. Anthony never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Holy Trinity Titans by a score of 5-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Friars: when they faced off against the Titans on Tuesday, they had to take a 5-0 loss.

St. Anthony's got a great performance from Lucas Miller as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.1 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Miller a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on C.J. Alfano, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Bono, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

St. Anthony's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Holy Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Coming up, St. Anthony's will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Monsignor McClancy. Holy Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
