Montgomery Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Anson Bearcats, falling 86-64. One positive for the Timberwolves, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

K?Navi Harris and Zachariah Stancil certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Harris went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Stancil posted 17 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Curtis, who put up four points and eight rebounds.

It was another big night for Jayden Little, who went 16 of 24 on his way to 42 points along with six boards and four steals for Anson. The match was Little's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Kendrick Maye was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Montgomery Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Anson, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Montgomery Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 88-36 loss against Forest Hills on the 13th. As for Anson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-62 victory against South Stanly on the 11th.
