Volleyball Recap: Belleview Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Marion, Belleview was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lake Weir Hurricanes. The game was the first time the Rattlers have beaten the Hurricanes on their court since March 22, 2021.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (93-86) Belleview actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 11-25, 25-23.

Belleview's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lake Weir, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Belleview will challenge Vanguard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belleview is facing Vanguard at the right time seeing as Vanguard is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake Weir, they will head out on the road to face off against West Port at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Port will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lake Weir surely won't give up without a fight.
