Volleyball Recap: San Juan Extends Winning Streak to Four

San Juan hadn't done well against Kanab recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cowboys. The win was nothing new for the Broncos as they're now sitting on four straight.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-15.

San Juan can attribute much of their success to Averie Gilson, who had 15 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Gilson has posted over her last six matchups. Faith Flannery also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

San Juan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

San Juan's record now sits at 6-1. As for Kanab, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

San Juan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Miyamura on the 28th. As for Kanab, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Grand County on the 26th.
