Volleyball Recap: Moreno Valley Comes Up Short

Moreno Valley lost against Liberty two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Moreno Valley fell just short of Liberty by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Moreno Valley sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-10.

Liberty was led to victory by Ashtyn Collier and Mataio Mamea-Haroldson. Collier had three blocks and three aces, while Mamea-Haroldson had seven kills and seven blocks. That's the most aces Collier has posted over his last seven contests.

Moreno Valley now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Liberty, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Moreno Valley has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Ramona on the 14th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Valley View on the 18th.
