Chisholm Trail and Saginaw are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Rangers will be playing at home against the Rough Riders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Chisholm Trail's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Polytechnic 64-0. Winning may never get old, but the Rangers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Chisholm Trail's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Rodriguez, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Taven Fleming, who rushed for 91 yards and one TD on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chisholm Trail was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 359 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tavion Franklin, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Saginaw humbled South Hills with a 35-7 victory. The victory continues a trend for the Rough Riders in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won five in a row.

Chisholm Trail better keep an eye on Joshua Greek. He was instrumental in Saginaw's win, throwing for 164 yards and four touchdowns. Greek has become a key player for the Rough Riders: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Kaiden Stewart was another key player, picking up 55 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Saginaw didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jahirim Skinner.

Saginaw's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Chisholm Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Chisholm Trail suffered a grim 35-13 defeat to Saginaw in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Rangers, Roman Morales (who rushed for 148 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries, and also threw for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
