Basketball Game Preview: Falls Lake Firebirds vs. Franklin Academy Patriots

The Falls Lake Firebirds will take on the Franklin Academy Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Falls Lake has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Franklin Academy will arrive with three straight victories.

On Friday, Falls Lake came up short against NCSSM: Durham and fell 59-49.

Meanwhile, Franklin Academy humbled East Wake Academy with a 76-46 victory. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Franklin Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Falls Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
