Softball Recap: Sunnyside Wins Going Away Against Pasco

Sunnyside won the last time they faced Pasco and things went their way on Friday too. The Grizzlies blew past the Bulldogs 21-4. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by ten runs or more this season.

Ellie Palomarez made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Palomarez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Sunnyside got a massive performance out of Kayla Murray, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Lili Briones, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

Sunnyside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Sunnyside and bumps their season record up to 9-10. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Pasco, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Sunnyside has already played their next match, a 15-5 win against Eisenhower on the 6th. Pasco does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
