It's playoff time, and Amarillo had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the El Dorado Aztecs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Sandies have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Amarillo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for El Dorado, they moved to 15-17 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Amarillo beat the Aztecs by a score of 4-0 on Friday.
