Softball Recap: Madison Takes Down Ranked Vermillion

Madison faced Vermillion in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Tanagers 2-1. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Tanagers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Madison's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Vermillion, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

As of now, neither Madison nor the Tanagers have any future games scheduled.
