Basketball Game Preview: Marysville Getchell vs. North Creek Jaguars

Marysville Getchell are taking a road trip to square off against the North Creek Jaguars at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row dating back to last season, Marysville Getchell turned things around against Marysville-Pilchuck on Wednesday. They walked away with a 36-23 victory over the Tomahawks. Marysville Getchell's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, North Creek won against Marysville-Pilchuck on Monday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. North Creek enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over Sammamish. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

North Creek pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Marysville Getchell, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Marysville Getchell was dealt a bruising 76-24 loss at the hands of North Creek in their previous matchup back in November of 2017. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Marysville Getchell was down 43-16.
