Recap: Liberty Common Eagles vs. Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds
The Liberty Common Eagles struggled with threes on Monday (the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds had 600% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Liberty Common fell to Windsor Charter Academy 57-51. Liberty Common has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Liberty Common still got an impressive performance from Pierce Richardson, who scored 21 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Frevert, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Windsor Charter Academy found their leader in underclassman Andrew Schams, who shot 7-for-13 from long range and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Schams has scored at least 25% of Windsor Charter Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Brody Unruh, who scored 7 points.
Liberty Common's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Windsor Charter Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Liberty Common will square off against Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday. Windsor Charter Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lotus School For Excellence at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th.
