Volleyball Recap: Cocoa Beach's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Cocoa Beach can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots. The Minutemen not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 25-9.

Elizabeth Butera paced Cocoa Beach's offense, picking up nine kills. Butera got some help from Brianna White and her 13 assists. Kylee Fitzpatrick controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Cocoa Beach's victory bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Cocoa Beach wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Eau Gallie on the 17th. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy West Melbourne on the 18th.
