Flag Football Recap: Alyssa Poehlman Key Part of Team Effort in Grizzlies Win

There's no place like home for Granite Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Rocklin Thunder by a score of 13-6 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won three in a row.

Granite Bay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Poehlman out in front who rushed for 76 yards and one TD, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. That's the most receiving yards Poehlman has posted since back in October of 2024. Another receiver making a difference was Leann McElroy, who picked up 113 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Granite Bay's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Rocklin, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-11 record.
