Baseball Game Preview: Sunbright Tigers vs. Oneida Indians

For the second straight game, Sunbright will face off against Oneida. The Tigers will welcome the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sunbright is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Sunbright fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Oneida on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 4-3.

Noah Bunch put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Bunch was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Jackson Newport made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run.

Sunbright's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oneida, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
