Softball Recap: Putnam Gets the Win

Putnam lost to Ellis RVT two weeks ago, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Clippers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Clippers.

Aubrey Paquette spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hailey Summers, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ayla Daniels, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

The win got Putnam back to even at 4-4. As for Ellis RVT, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Putnam will head out on the road to take on New London at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Clippers are facing the Whalers at the right time seeing as the Whalers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Ellis RVT, they will challenge Windham at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
