Baseball Game Preview: Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons vs. Marin Catholic Wildcats

For the second straight game, Archie Williams will face off against Marin Catholic. The Peregrine Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Archie Williams' hitters haven't had much luck over their past four contests, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Archie Williams came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Marin Catholic, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Peregrine Falcons have suffered against the Wildcats since March 11, 2022.

For Marin Catholic's part, they got a big performance out of Jude Baker, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Baker a new career-high. Johnny Greco was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two runs.

Marin Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win snapped Marin Catholic's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-11 record. As for Archie Williams, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
