Basketball Recap: Kingsbury Takes a Loss

Kingsbury lost against Memphis Central back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kingsbury Falcons lost 45-20 to the Memphis Central Warriors. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Kingsbury saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maleah Ward posted 18 points and seven boards. That was a full 90% of Kingsbury's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Kingsbury's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Memphis Central, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Kingsbury wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-27 win against City University School of Liberal Arts on the 15th. As for Memphis Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-39 defeat against Memphis East on the 16th.
