Football Recap: Mastery Comes Up Short

Mastery had lost three straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 0-3 to make it four. They were outmatched by the Bishop Eustace Prep Crusaders and fell 40-6. The Warrior were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

As for Bishop Eustace Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 44.0 points this season.

Bishop Eustace Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eric Beach out in front who threw for 124 yards and four TDs. Another player making a difference was Roman Faiola, who rushed for 100 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

Looking ahead, Mastery will host Pitman on Friday. As for Bishop Eustace Prep, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Buena at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders will be up against the Chiefs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
