Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Continental). They secured a 53-49 W over the Hilltop Cadets on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their 14-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Continental's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Hilltop, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Continental and Hilltop could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Continental (ranked 798th) will meet Miller City (ranked 109th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Continental is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Hilltop will face off against Montpelier at 7:15 p.m. on Friday down 348 places (656 vs. 308).
